They have made this charitable advert  for the animals in the arctic dying because of global warming. And also with the langue they use is "your donate, will save them" so they are saying that all of the money that you donate will help them.

notes
  • its an advert
  • bright colours to attract viewers
  • suit represents wealthiness
  • the products are made big so you can see what is in the chocolate box
  • 18 in bold to say that its not just the 3 sweets they have shown and described one the cover
  • purple represents royalty
  • what sweet dose he choose, or what women dose he choose.
  • the girls have been dressed to match the sweets
  • these people are higher class
  • they all want the chocolates
  • mackintosh is in a nice font-brand name
  • quality street is in a written font

The main image shows bright colourful colours but they also dress the two women in clothing that represent/match the sweets. This has connotations suggests that the man in the middle who looks very wealthy, has to choose between the two women who are kissing him.But this could also represent his deciding to choose between all of the different chocolates in the chocolate box. They do this to show us that the chocolates are a wealthy type thing and that they are delicious. But could also be that its he has to choose one chocolate and one girl not two. This links to the idea that although you can choose one chocolate/ women, the chocolates will make you want more. and potentially women aswell.

                                   women in advertising.

MANTRAS " i kick balls. deal with it"
This mantra is conveying that when the text says "deal with it" it is made to seem that maybe boys have had something to say and brings up that stereotypically that boys are better at football and that its only a males sport.and the "i kick balls" also has 2 meanings.

The persuasive technique of direct address is used within this print add of Gareth Bale. For example the main image of Gareth Bale shows him looking directly at the camera. this appeals to the audience so they feel targeted and wanted through the ad.

The colour palette is all matching the same colours to represent the same colours of the product (lucozade bottle).

                                                       Women in Advertising

women have been portrayed as
  • strong
  • independent
  • fierce
in this advert, women have been presented as powerful and independent. They have done this by presenting women/ athletes in tight clothes to NOT sexualise them but to show how much potential they have and how powerful women are.And that they don't have to cover up and instead they have chosen a long shot to show her whole body.. Another way this advert is powerful and presenting women in that way is using athletes as the front cover of the adverts.

In the nike & Adidas posters, women were represented as powerful and independent. you could see this by the use of the women that are used in the first posters which are all athletes which also fights stereotypes because men are usually used for nike, adidas adverts and for sporty stuff. However, in the this girl can advert, women are represented as proud and don't seem to care. This can been seen by the use of the women in the background looking sweaty, strong and overall looks like she is having fun and doesn't care about what other people think.Another thing about this girl can advert, is that the front cover is not a celebrity but a women i her mid 30s which challenges on how other adverts use famous people and they have not.

                                                         REPRESENTATION
dominant ideology
=the attitudes, beliefs, values and morals shared by the majority of the people in a given society.

1. her facial expression shows us a positive feeling about her sport for the female audience. we can see this on the way she looks very happy on what she is doing, she looks like she is enjoying her activity and its made to create a audience grabbing advert for women.enticing.
2. the advert seeks to encourage the female audience by presenting the women in the advert (not a celeb, a normal women) and shows us that she is enjoying herself and have presented realism with no makeup, messy hair, sweating and not matching clothes.
3.yes i think that this advert is successful at being inclusive by aiming at all women and in the text box is "this girl can" which is direct Adress in a way.

PROPP

In "this girl can" advert, the women in this advert has been made to challenge stereotypes and been made to raise awareness for women's confidence.what we can see in this is a middle-aged women "sweating like a pig" doing exercise. This is made to challenge stereotypes because male audience make out that men are better than women in exercise.
